not resolvedI seem to be having trouble setting the widths for the blog. I'm not a CSS guru, but I'm no noob either. I've searched through all the stylesheets and places where I would be likely to find it, but I can't find any settings for overall widths and sidebar widths.
I'm sure I'm just missing something really obvious.
Help?
OK, so I found the layouts in the layouts folder (library/media/layouts) which solves part of my problem. I changed to the 1col.css in my style.css. Now my problem is this. Inside a post/page, when I center text (or anything), it does not show up centered. It's as if there's a hidden right-aligned div or something in the area my post/page text is supposed to go. The text shows up centered, in the sense that each is centered relative to the others, but it does not show up in the middle of the page. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a hidden sidebar just dying to come out?
OK, here's what I did. I returned to the 2 column right layout and changed 2col-r.css to
.container { width: 960px; margin: 20px auto; }
.hfeed { width: 960px; float: left; }
.aside { width: 0px; float: right; }
.footer { clear: both; }
That reduced the size of aside to 0 and increased container to the full 960px.
